For some reason I wanted this shot. So we searched for this famous sign which suprisingly took us about one hour. It was a hazy day, the foreground ws shabby. This is a cutout of the (even less appealing) original image.
Los Angeles. There were two things left on our wish list: Visiting Universal Studios (since both of us were "cinematics") and going to Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Went to the theatre first. Was a little bit disappointing, though. Ok, we saw the footprints and handprints of our movie heroes in front of the theatre. And we walked along the Walk of Fame. But the quarter had no glitter. Some of the side roads were rather dinky. I do not know what I did expect. But definitely something different.

Visiting Universal Studios made it up for us. The "Waterworld show" was both breathtaking and funny. We also loved the "Back to the future" ride. The air blow from below at the end of the "Backdraft show" really spooked me for a second. Contrary the water ride through "Jurassic Parc" was not very thrilling. Although the final slide...
It was also great to take the tram ride through the movie sceneries. Well, the shark attack was predictable. But it was great to see the motel from "Psycho" and the buildings they were constructing for Jurassic Parc II. And Magnum's Ferrari. And Columbo's car. And the "Back to the future" plaza. And, and... It is a must-go for movie freaks!
