layover in Cusco

We flew from Lima to Puerto Maldonado via Cusco.  Between Lima and Cusco were some amazing mountains - oh yeah, that would be the Andes!  Between Cusco and Puerto we flew over a carpet of green - the Amazon rainforest!  We got a little snack of bread and cake and I got my first (and last) taste of Inca Kola.  This bright yellow carbonated drink tastes like a mix of cream soda and bubble gum and was way too sweet for me, but Peruvians love the stuff.
