Today we were up early for a bus tour of the great ocean road.  It took about 1 1/2 hours to get to Torquay- the start of the road, then our first stop was just after - Bell's Beach - good for surfers.  It took about 45mins to get to the next stop which not long, but the road was so twisty it was a taxing ride, especially for someone who gets travel sick!  It was worth it though - the next stop was a campsite where all the trees surrounding it are full of koalas!  We got loads of pictures of them, and of a kukaburra we saw.  Off we went again on the very twisty road that hugs the cliff face with a big drop to the sea on one side, stopping at the famous Great Ocean Road sign and eventually for lunch.  After that the road went slightly inland and straightened out a bit.  We stopped for a jungle trek, seeing trees that were thousands of years old, saw the 12 Apostles and finally London bridge.  The trip back was not as leary as we took an inland road back to Geelong then it was moterway back to Melbourne.  It took about 3 hours.  We didn't get back to the hostel until 9pm and were exhausted but unfortunatly the pub beneath the hostel turns into a nigthtclub at the weekend with music so loud our beds were vibrating!  No sleep for us until it stopped in the early hours of the morning.
