Today I wanted to see the Merlion and also meet Foy aka Florianne (coffeefairy) by Fullerton One. While waiting, I wondered around the Merlion and watched the sunset with CBD and the Esplanade in the foreground. No luck with a perfect sunset in this part of the island, but it was very soothing...couldn't remember the last time I did this in Singapore.
I had a craving for Ikan Pepes at Tambuah Mas, so I suggested the venue, to which Foy agreed and also mentioned a place she wanted to show me that is near to Tambuah Mas. So we walked over Singapore River towards Marina Square.
Along the way, we stopped at the Esplanade to listen to a live christmas choir by kids. Again, I remembered this was something I did last Christmas as well.
When we finally reached TM, Foy showed me a Filipino restuarant located 2 shops beside it. The menu looked really good and I suggested that we must try this someday, but today I'm set on Ikan Pepes!!!
Back at the esplanade by the bay, we came across a children's talent show. These kids were amazing and one of the most outstanding performance was by a couple, age between 9-11, doing a salsa routine...OMG...I wonder how much training they must have undergone since young...they were awesome! Some of the other contestants had voices equivalent to divas and musical performancers...Unbelievable!!!!
