Goodbyes suck.....

Well, Friday was my leaving night out from work. Everyone was really lovely and gave me some Thai Baht as my leaving present. Which will be very useful indeed! We had a great night out; cocktails that tasted like skittles, getting ID'd for Walkabout and dancing like nutters in the Rainbow and Dove. Poor old Nick got accosted by a big transvestite who clearly fancied herself more than anything else, strange indeed. Just feels really weird that I won't be getting up tomorrow to go and tell them all about the weekend and have cups of tea (oh, and do some work of course!!!). Here's a lovely photo Tracy P took.

I'm currently in the throes of packing all my possessions into boxes to be stashed in my bedroom while I'm away. A bigger task than you would think! I own far too much crap... But worst of all, today I bid farewell to my brother and sister. There were tears. And not from the sibling you would expect the tears from! I'm terrible at goodbyes and this one wasn't very fun. But hey, I'm off to have a good time and it's not like I'll never see them again.

I've packed my bag but I think I'll be unpacking it a couple of times yet. There just doesn't seem to be anything I can put back, its frustrating. Oh, and my plans have changed a bit. I don't think I'll be working in New Zealand anymore, I've heard of people struggling to find work and I don't want to cut my trip short so if money is going well I'm going to spend longer in Asia, maybe head across to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. They do look beautiful and if I'm in the region I may aswell explore as many places as possible!

So current plan; Thailand-Malaysia-Thailand-Laos-Vietnam-Cambodia-Singapore-Oz-NZ-NYC-Home. My only concern is that my money lasts so I'll just make sure I keep an eye on what I'm spending. Stupid bloody exchange rate.
