Mexico City
The next morning we flew out to Mexico City where we spent the next few days wandering around. The have an amazing central plaza in the middle of town which was a great place to hang out and people watch. At night it turned into a big market and we had some lackluster tacos. The city is huge and has a variety of different neighborhoods you can visit, and many that you shouldn't. But for the average tourist the architecture was great, the markets were huge and full of all kinds of great souveneirs, the art museums were great, and it was all at a pretty good price.
Then just outside of town are the pyramids of Teothiuacan. They were great to see and made for some stellar photos. The vendors trying to sell random junk was a bit irritating, but the sights more than made up for it. At the time we could only climb to the top of one pyramid, but it was still breathtaking. We sat up there for quite a while enjoying our panoramic view. After that night we made our way over to Taxco!
