Got up early to go on a game drive in Chobe National Park
. I was feeling really exhausted cos Tam and I didn't wake up til 5:30am and we had to leave at 5:35am - so no time to adjust properly! We saw wild dogs eating a kudu, lots of kudu, heaps of birds, Chacma baboons, impala, a croc, hippos, warthogs and awesome dung beetles. I was so tired I fell asleep a few times in the truck. After we got back from the game drive I fell asleep on a lounge chair by the pool and whne it started to rain I hurried back to camp to get my washing off the line then fell asleep again in the truck. In the afternoon we went on a cruise along the Zambezi where we knew in advance the drinks were really expensive so some people brought their own and started pouring them out.
Before we knew it a man came along demanding a P20 (~AUD$4) corkage fee per person - luckily we explained we didn't know and he let us get away with finishing the drink we were on and then purchasing the rest from him. The corkage fee per person was equal to an entire bottle of wine! I had some of Karl's Amarula (like Baileys) which was yummy. The cruise went for 3 hours and we saw lots of hippos, crocs and an elephant. All in all though it was fairly boring and I think it went for too long, especially once it had started raining. I was glad to get back on land when we did and really looking forward to tea. We had yummy tomato soup and loads of potatoes and something else. Played some cards with Tammy, Simon, Odin and Karl then headed to bed pretty tired. The truck was covered in wet clothes!
