The Return to Thames

After the madness that was Queenstown, my savings were all but gone and my contract at hospital had ended - signalling the end of my time down south. It was time to return to Thames, to the security of the house. Only this time, I was leaving Alex behind in QT and meeting another fellow Brit for the subsequent adventures.
Despite the sleepiness, I love this place. Regardless of who you are, young or old, you will find happiness somewhere on the Coromandel Penninsular - its a place for smiles & relaxation, for sunshine, good friends and immense beauty.
Thames and the near by coast line is absolutely packed with little 'spots'. Places to just chill the hell out and take in the views of New Zealand.
At this point, I had no idea how much longer I would be able to stay in the country - not that I wanted to go home - but funds were causing a serious issue. Work is obviously not easy to find in such a small town. Lucky my old bosses at the Costal Motor Lodge took me in as soon as i returned (I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!) providing a minimal income to manage on. So that was it for now..... stay in Thames and enjoy the house, the beaches and my good friends in the area. Just survive. Survive and Smile.....
