Going Back Home

My husband was deployed to Ecuador and Curacao during the summer of 2008. While he was in Curacao, I came to visit him from August 4th through August 10th.

Leaving Curacao was hard.  Not only was it a nice beach vacation, but I had to leave my husband behind.  I wouldn't get to see him for another month.  Spending a week with him was great, but it had to end sometime.  It was the complete opposite feeling I had from when I was going to the island.

I had to get up super early for my flight.  I hadn't slept more than 2 hours, and I had about 12 hours of traveling to do.  It was tiring.  I had a 4 hour layover in Miami due to customs.  I had a chance to eat and relax some, but I still didn't want to go home alone.

I took the cloud formation picture before I boarded the plane.  Once I was on the plane, the "monsoon" hit and our plane was grounded for quite awhile.  I would've missed my next flight, but luckily it was delayed too.
