My husband was deployed to Ecuador and Curacao during the summer of 2008. While he was in Curacao, I came to visit him from August 4th through August 10th.

I got to Curacao late at night on August 4th.  There were plenty of cabs at the airport, so getting to the hotel was a breeze.  Once I was there, I just waiting for my husband to come by.  He had been staying at my hotel, but moved to another one earlier that day.  When I finally got to see him, it was really nice.  We hadn't seen each other in 3 months.

The next day, the first thing we did was go snorkeling (we went a few times).  The equipment was free to all the military personnel there, so we didn't have to pay for anything.  The hotel was right on the beach, so we didn't have to go anywhere.  It was a great starting activity to do.  We had our underwater camera and took pictures of fish and ourselves.  The water was a little rough that day, making it a little murky, but otherwise we didn't have any problems.  Afterwards, we ate at the restaurant on the beach.
