We arrived late in the afternoon in Ravello and decided to visit the Rufolo Villa having not enough time
to see the Cimbrone Villa.
Ravello is sistuated about 5 km from Amalfi, overlooking the coast from Maiori to Amalfi.
It is a place that is most wellknown for its music:every year The Ravello Concert Society organizes many concerts of
classical music.

The Ravello Festival takes place every year to honor Richard Wagner who came here in 1880,working at that time on Parsifal.
Ravello had welcome a lot of famous artists like Arturo Toscanini,Leonard Bernstein for the musicians,Miro and Turner, the watercolourist,
and the writers D.H. Lawrence,Graham Greene,André Gide....
Villa Rufolo www.villarufolo.it was built between the XI and XIII century:the original building was a perfect synthesis of Arabic,Sicilian and
