Canadians love to laugh.  I don't know the number of comedy acts per capita, but it must be quite high. There are lots of them and most comedians earn well their living.

Les têtes à claques is a humoristic website created in August 2006 in Québec.  This site propose short video animations showing funny characters in ridiculous situations.  It quickly got a huge success.

In 1983 the french festival Juste pour rire was created in Montreal, in 1985 the english version Just for laugh Festival followed. This festival and it's TV shows are now replicated around the world.  One should visit Montreal and now Toronto during this festival, It's fun!

Fred Pellerin is a very popular Québec story Teller and a folk singer. He tells the stories of his small village St-Élie-de-Caxton and some of its 1500 citizen. He his very funny and brings an interesting outlook upon our modern societies.  He will start a story saying: Once upon on a time when people still had time...  There's actually one of is stories "Babine"  that was made into a movie. Hopefully it will be translated in english.

Last summer, I saw a Spanish version being filmed as I was sitting at a cafe in Spain. I got some funny pictures from it.
