Another of my favourite to-do's whilst in the Bay Area is to go to the wine growing region. Enough of the Napa Valley hype already, I visited its more dramatic neighbour Sonoma Valley in the summer with friends. The highlight was fabulous pizza with pinenuts and courgette near a petrol/gas station en route, as well as cheesecake and blueberry jam/preserves at the winery itself. The weather was all sorts of brilliant, clear skies and lovely breeze.
