Me, a friend and some women I never met before, booked ourself a cabin in the south-Netherlands to do some... tinkering(?) I don't know, maybe it's like 'gezelligheid', there just ain't a proper translation. Anywho... I never done anything like it before and I didn't know if it was anything for me. But at least it gave me the opportunity to go for a walk to a place I haven't been before. A little village that belongs to 2 different countries. That should bring up some nice pics...

Baarle-Nassau & Baarle-Hertog by car for a weekend

This photo shows the pieces of Belgium within the Netherlands.

Friday I was suppose to go to my friends house, where we could get a ride to the cabin. I'm a person who like to travel light. Preferably with a single bag. But with a weekend full of scrapbooking and other hobbying, that was impossible. With all my drawing- and writing-supplies along with some scrapbookthings packed, I had to carry 3 bags from Rotterdam, where I live, to Vlaardingen, where my friend lives. I even thought about just going by bike, because I´m always afraid to get carsick. When I came to my friends house, I turned out I was being modest with my luggage. Her whole hallway was full with bags and boxes and everything. When the van arrived I was becoming a sort of exception, since their luggage was just as overblowing. I bought myself some soyadrinks in a desperate hope not to get sick that time.

This was a drawing I had in my head for years. It turned out different from what I planned. But the result is okay. maybe I do another version in the future. It's a phoenix raising from it's ashes.
I hardly managed.

When we got to the cabin soon the others arrived. In the sense of 'there's always a bigger fish', all the luggage I saw earlier was just peanuts, when a big car with a trailer arrived. Oh my god! The whole cabin was just loaded with all kind of supplies! Well, they started Fridays with pasting napkins on jars and tiles. I started with making a drawing. When I was finished I did some glueing napkins myself. Now I have some jars and a nameplate, which I do not know what to do with. In the evening I made another drawing, which is suppose to be on my christmascard this year.

We eat soup and because I can't eat bread I had some casave-chips. I almost had to fight over my food, because all the bread-eaters didn't now that casave-chips with creamcheese go so well with soup ;D
