Since we had time to kill we would take a look around and grab something to eat. Where to go? Hey! don't ask me, I'm the guest ;) We would go to "Greektown". In order to go there we had to take the train. We arrived to the train stop when it was just leaving oh no!!! hopefully it'd come frequently because it's cold and I wasn't wearing more than a sweater and my coat.
The drive to Greektown didn't take more than 15min. Ok, why do they call this area Greektown? Well, maybe because all the restaurants over there are Greek, haha. Eric called a friend to ask for some advice but the place she recommended was closed, ughhh. So now we were by our own. Greektown wasn't that big, so we decided to walk along the main street and go inside the place we liked the most. And so we did...
All the places had Greek names and we ended going in to one called "Pegasus". It was a very good choice. I liked the food and the OPA spectacle. To drink we ordered a Greek white whine. Mmm, how was it? I liked it and it made me warm, yay! I wasn't cold anymore, plus I got my "Asian glow" ;) Around 5pm we went back to the Stadium.
We arrived there too early. The doors were still closed, so instead of stand there and freeze ourselves, we'd take a walk around. It was cold, but my Asian glow was protecting me, haha. A couple of pics later, we went back to the arena in order to go inside. The game was: Detroit "Red Wings" vs Montreal "Canadiens" and there were a lot of Canadian fans over there. Well, you just have to cross the bridge in order to be in Canada, haha.
The Hockey Game was a whole new experience to me. Hockey is no popular by us... so it was something new, that's for sure, hehe. I could relate the whole vibe to the one you feel if you are in a soccer game, everyone cheering for their team. Haha, sports are sports :) Of course, I needed Eric to explain me the rules of the game; otherwise I'd have been completely lost.
At 7pm the teams came out and started to practice. And at 7:30pm the game started. I was a bit confused at the beginning, but started to understand it better while the time went by. Unfortunately Red Wings didn't win. And some people started to leave early. That's sad... You don't make it to your team...
At 10pm we started our drive to the hotel. And after getting lost and drove around for some time we found the way to the highway and after almost 1hr we arrived to Lancing our final destination...
