The 3 lucky ones, celebrating there birthdays.

Now I was counting how many meetups I have had. I am just a member since February 9th this year (2008). Lets see..

4)      Tilburg, The Efteling (la lala, la lala,  la-lalaaaa), Devika

5)      Active in Friesland, Wendy and Rowena

6)      Leiden with Anna-Isabel

7)      Lima Peru, Yadi

8)      San Diego, Tiffany (still need to upload pictures)

Wow, this was my 9^th already and.

The big church in Apeldoorn

I should be at my hotel at 4 pm, but I was 10 minutes late. I needed some gasoline and left a little bit late. But at the hotel Anna-Isabel was waving to me behind the curtains of  the reception. She just arrived too. The manager of the moment was explaining all about the hotel-makeover. He was talking about the RTL-4 program: “Herrie in het hotel” with a famous cook: Herman den Blijker. We left late there also and we started walking to the train station to meet the other Trav-Buddies. We were talking and talking and didn’t notice that we passed the others (who didn’t wait at the station for us J). Luckily Patricia saw us walking and talking and we joined the others. We went to the “graaf van Vlaanderen” and more TB people were sitting there already. Brett and his two friends (Melissa and …) Lieke, Jacqueline, Philip and his brother Mark. There we started with drinks from the 3 birthday people. Thanks for that! We had two hours there and I could talk a lot to Maike, Jacqueline, Brett, Lieke and later also Philip. It was his first meet-up. His brother joined TB just a day before this Meet-up. At 7 we had a appointment in a restaurant Mediterrance, (http://www.mediterrance.nl/) for a 3 hour Diner-buffet with free drinks! First we gave the 3 some slings to recognize themJ.

What else did we have to do: of course a group picture. I brought with me the word T R A V B U D D Y in chocolate and the manager took a picture of us all. On my picture everyone is there, only on the left there is just a little bit of  Edwin, sorry Edwin…. Not my fault!

At 10 we had to leave and some people left home. We were 10 people now and jumped into a disco/bar to finish the evening. They had good music and a nice ambience. The later is was the more people left. The last once left just after midnight (joking) and the 3, who had booked a hotel, went to there beds. We needed that sleep because the 3 of us (Anna-Isabel, Lieke and me) are going to have another meet-up on a bike!
