Not dancing in HB
November 23, 2008
This wasn't nessisarily a Travbuddy meet-up, but I went up to see friends I'd made here. Angel (Jelly) invited me to come up for Cuban food with a mix of Travbuddy and other friends. I got to visit Kelly (Kelleeoo) again, fresh back from a few months in Africa and finally met Warren (ocwarren) and a couple other TBs in person. As an added bonus, Angel's friend's English language class of Japanese students showed up, which was pretty fun. We missed Liz (Quest) who had to leave a little early for the last leg of her trip before heading back to Norway.
After some enourmous portions of some really good Cuban food, the free salsa lessons started. It was a real lesson too, not just "ok, one-two-three-and five-six-seven... and off you go!" but they went through all the moves and techniques for like an hour! ...with mixed results, but everyone looked like they were having fun though.
I of course quickly snuck out as the dancing got underway... uh, I mean to be responsible and start driving back to San Diego for work the next morning, yeah... but I'm sure fun and salsa-ing continued into the night.
I only got a few pictures (well, few the way I usually take pictures) but here they are. Help me out with the names if you know anyone... : )
