Wish every 7am could be like this one!

Given the rather sheer brilliance of the place, I woke up very very early - around 7am and ran to the beach. Had a good morning swim, relaxed on the hammock listening to some music before heading to breakfast. Again, the weather was great, it was just excellent! I love this place!!!

Breakfast was the usual - in a nice big hut with lots of people, Indian/continental buffet.

The best part came after breakfast when we went to the internationally renowned Ayurvedic Centre for a complete body massage. This is an oil massage, which means they pretty much strip you and tie a little G-string around you, and run you through about 3-4 different types of massaging oil, and then through some kind of powder (looked like sand to me, I forgot the name but apparently has great "healing powers"), and then you have a shower in an open courtyard. At that time, it was a drag but in hindsight, I think the whole massage was bloody brilliant.  Oh, only sad part is that only men can massage men, and only women for women!

Our car was waiting for us, we checked out at about 3pm, headed to the Cochin airport and caught a 6pm flight back to Bengaluru for the rest of my 3 week stay.

Kerala's a lovely place. I honestly feel those who want to escape the sunny Asian/exotic tourist spots that are Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia should consider this alternative. It's friendlier, smaller, and the food's MUCH better (not to mention more diverse).
