The Meet-up Dinner
Dinner was at El Charo grill, and I have to say, this was one of the tastiest dinners I have ever had at a meet-up! Certainly the best Mexican food at a meet-up ever! The chips and salsa to start it off were so good, Melanie's wrist scrunchy even decided it wanted some! I shared the "USA Today Chimichanga" with Erin and Melanie, and also the Chicken Tomatillo Tamale with Erin...and both items were AWESOME! Negro Modelo to drink as well, which was quite nice. A very enjoyable dinner!
At the start of the dinner, we did an introduction where we all introduced ourselves and something not everyone knows about me. Well...not much that people don't know about me, so I was rather boring...but we have some amazing people on the site!
Lucky for me, Liz is from Norway and is officially further from Tucson than me in the Netherlands, so she won the furtherst TB award for this meet-up, especially good for me as the staff came over and literally poured a few shots of Tequila down her throat. That would have killed me!
Following dinner, the staff tried their best to get us to stay, but we had other plans, but in the end, we actually wound up right next door at Touchdowns sports bar where we had a blast drinking Fat Tire and singing Karoake. No singing for me this time...I'm saving my singing talents for Ket's NYE pre-meet-up!
All in all, this was a great meet-up!
