Some Museums to Consider While in New Orleans

New Orleans Travel Blog › entry 2 of 4 › view all entries

Summary of my second visit to New Orleans. This time, I got to see more of the city. Each entry was about a different aspect of my visit, and the types of attractions along with their locations. Does that sound confusing? I can see why, but I can't think of a better way of explaining it.

Some Museums to Consider While in New Orleans

I got to see more of the French Quarter, and visit the many attractions the area has to offer. There are a bunch of museums to visit, so definitely do your homework ahead of time. I will list the ones that I got to visit, and give an idea what each one is about.

Remember to do your homework beforehand, to see which ones catches your interest.

The 1850 House - a residential home that shows life in 1850

The Cabildo - history on the state of Louisiana

The Old US Mint - mainly about Jazz Fest

The Presbytere - basically Mardi Gras Museum

NO Historic Voodoo Museum - basically what voodoo is really about

NO Pharmacy Museum - displays of medicine from the 1800’s

[NOTE: Some of these attractions may be closed due to hurricane damage, so check ahead of time to see if they have reopened]
