The Main Meet Up!

After only having a short time to freshen up back at the hotel, we were off and running again to the meet up dinner. We stopped on our way out to take a couple photos but then had Brett yelling at us again that we were all late! Mr. Punctual! LOL.
We headed out and had no problem finding the restaurant. Directions were easy and we are only about 20 minutes behind schedule. We got there and most of the group was there so we weren't the last ones to arrive. WHEW! No one had ordered yet - just on drinks. We sat down and it was time to unwind a bit. Mel had checked out the menu before we left and found this restaurant has one of the highest rated chimichangas in the US and wanted to try it. Well, upon further inspect.
Something Harriet did this meeting which was very similar to what Mark and James did at the June KC meet up was to go around tell everyone your name, where you are from, how long you've been on TB, and a little known fact about yourself! This was kinda cool since I really didn't know everyone at the table so fun to learn about everyone else! When Tim (TYoungTX) got up and claimed he was number 6 in the Great Eight club.
We had a few drinks, took a few photos, and it was time for Mel to present the furthest TB award to Liz! My camera battery had been dying so I didn't take that many photos of thise meet up (shocking I know!) Hey Tim, you probably took more photos this weekend than I did! LOL Mel and I did the drink for signs which will be on her blog and it was time to pay the bill and head out.
Ultimately, we ended up at a sports bar called Touchdown that had karaoke. Oh my, that was fun! Melanie and Melissa sang several songs, including Like a Virgin. The best pictures are on Melissa's camera so we will await her blog!! The last song was Baby Got Back and yeah, Krysta and I got roped into coming up and it was horrible..... we provided the booty dancing but everyone was missing song lines, etc. I just remember turning around and Krysta smacking my behind as we were dancing!! HA HA HA HA. What a fun time though!! I was stunned to see Melissa on stage singing her little heart out - you go girl!!! The last song of the night ended up being Nate doing something that sounded along the lines of country (can't remember the song.
We all said our goodbyes which sucked! I loved meeting so many new TBs and seeing the couple familiar faces I already knew. It was such a great crowd
