It was an wonderful trip. I made friends on the train, at the hotels, and even on the street. Italian people are friendly. And the food, it's incredible. I will put on pictures of food that I love the best and also the address of the restaurants in case you will like to try them out some day.

Is this a gift from someone in the nearby restaurant? Hmm...might be a proposal gift!!!

I couldn't say that I was not excited about this trip since I have been working over 10 hours per day and 7 days a week for past one month; however, I have been to Milano/Italy before. So I was not sure if I could find something new to compare with my last trip. And it turned out, I was excited to find the city was not much different after 8 years since I visited it last time while on top of that, I still found a lot of things interesting and unforgetable, especially the friends I made on this trip!

I arrived Linate, Milan on Oct 24th noon time. It was not a long flight, 8 hours across the Atlantic ocean, 3 hours in Brussel, Belgium, and 2 hours fly over Alps. Good to see the mountains have been covered by snow since I am a snowboard/ski addict.

The first impression of Linate, Milan is the smell. It's like trash dump. Well, sorry to say this, my dear Italian friends. I was so afraid that there was so sort of trash hauler strike or something. The city might be in a mess. Fortunately, it was nothing like that, although, I still have no idea what happened that day in Linate today.

The bus to downtown Milan was cheap and convenient. It costs only 5 Euro and stops at Milan central station, in which you can transit to the underground system or trains. Next time, you can try it and save some money from taking a taxi. Oh, one thing though, the bus stops at the side of central station not the front side. It was my mistake that I thought it was the front side of the station, so I totally lost when I look up the map for my hotel. Anyway, just a reminder.   ^_^

(to be continue...)

the only airport that really smells to me even now is Heathrow. It smells like dog SH#T. Especially if you come from terminal 3 then take the bus to terminal 5.

Well, have no idea. The smell is not from inside the building. Our flight did not park at the sky-bridge, in stead, we had to take the bus back to the main building of the airport. The very first moment, I stepped out the plane, the smell came right away. It's really like the trash that had not been properly sanitized and covered for a few days. That's the reason why I was afraid of any type of trash hauler strike or something. :(

Oaky...have I been living on the road too long...Airposrts in Europe no longer smell like piss to me. I just passed through Frankfurt today and I thought it was fairly clean. When I was in Milan, it didn't smell like piss either. WTF mate?
