spotting giant turtles in Laganas and Kalamaki

Ok, one day we went to Laganas by local bus. Laganas is the most touristic place on the island.

When we did visit the village, we went to the beach. And stepped on the boat for a tour in the bay of Laganas,  to spot some Giant Turtles which are coming there, to lay their eggs in the sand on the beach at night. That's why nobody can't come on the beach at night in Kalamaki.

It was a great experience to see the Giant Turtles swimming.

But a couple of days later, I got the chance of a lifetime!

We went to the beach one day and I went for a swim in deep water. Suddenly I saw a big rock under me. Although I thought so! But when I looked a bit better, it began to move. I was frightend to death but also curious because I knew that the Turtles must come to the surface of the water to breath within 12 minutes. So I swom along and waited.

And than he came up! Just before me he came up, and I saw his face. I felt the adrenalin!! It was the most wonderful experience that I've ever had!!

It was amazing, and I was in such a good mood , I'd smiled the hole day!!!!
