A weekend trip to Atlanta during Labor Day weekend. Summaries of the attractions that I visited.

Arrived in Georgia

in downtown
I have arrived in Atlanta, and this time, I will finally get to see the city, rather than just change planes there. I don't know much about it, other than stuff about its sports teams (especially the Braves since they are rivals of the Phillies).

I took the MARTA train into downtown, and then I went into Underground Atlanta. This place is a shopping mall underneath the streets. I walked to one end, which led me to the World of Coca-Cola. I would have to see it at another time, since I already reserved a scheduled tour of the CNN Studios. I reserved it a few weeks before the trip, over the phone.

I went to the CNN Studios, which was next to the Georgia Dome (home of the Falcons). I joined the tour, and had to go through a security checkpoint. This tour was about the various studios that make up CNN, which everyone had at least heard of. We had a demo given, of how news and weather reports really work. Not what it seems on TV. The tour was ok, and definitely worth it for CNN watchers. I'm not much of it, so it did not really stand out for me.

I would meet up with someone, who I met when they came to Philly. I told him that I would hook up when I came to town, which is what I did. We would hang out afterwards.
