My trip to Colorado Springs and Denver, to see the Rocky Mountains and the Mile High City.

Other Attractions to Consider

Coors Field

I would be spending the couple days visiting attractions in Denver, and hanging out with people that I knew from before.

I visited the Denver Botanical Garden, which is a nice stroll through gardens and a replica of a Japanese tea house. Also, I went through the greenhouse. When leaving, I started to think, that all botantical gardens are similar, if not alike. They are all started to mesh together in my mind, to a point, where I skip this type of attraction. I often look for attractions that are unique to that city.

I also visited the Molly Brown House, which is another house tour. It was okay, seeing period furniture, but not a must-see. Molly Brown was one of the survivors of the Titanic. One thing about these house tours, that they remind us how dependent we are on technology, when people back then, hardly had any.

And I did see the sports venues, but did not attend any events in them. There is Coors Field, home of the Rockies. Nearby is the Pepsi Center, home of the Nuggets and Avalanche.

I did take a quick side trip to Boulder, where University of Colorado is located. I was there to meet up with some people, so I could not see much. But I did get a chance to visit a park, with the Rockies in the background.

I would return home the next day, but had missed my flight. So I had to wait hours until the next one to Philly. And staying at an airport hotel ended up not making a difference, because the airport is in the middle of nowhere.

I did not have enough time to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, but maybe another time. I enjoyed Colorado Springs, which had a lot more to offer than I expected. Overall, Colorado is a great state to visit.
