Me in thought at Jalousie Beach St Lucia

Had a kick ass fun time in St Lucia. Spent 5 day and 4 nights in Rodney Bay, an area just outside of Castries. Got a cheap room at Coco Palm Hotel, room was like 120 us well worth it and very clean. We went to St Lucia to get away and try a new island. The beaches were nice but not like Bahamas, Anguilla with nice white sand and blue waters. But it had its own charm, Jalousie Beach was picture perfect. Its a small cove, surrounded by 1000ft cliffs lined with palm trees and crystal clear water. But its volcanic so you dont see the clarity until you get in it, very warm water as well. We also went to Pigeon Island across the water from Reduit beach in Rodney Bay. This beach was also very nice and clean with a small little beach restaurant and bar. Perfect and didnt feel like a resort at all.

Nightlife was just ok and that was my only dislike of the island. We got there on a saturday night and had a lot of fun with the locals but sunday, moonday, tuesday there was nothing going on. Everyone says you need to be there from thursday on to take advantage of nightlife. Other than that we met some truly cool local people who took us around the island for 2 days for free!!! The local St Lucians are some of the nicest island people ive ever met. Will be going back hopefully sometime in 2010.
