sydney is best esplored onfoot.  the best spots, most are located along the harbour, can be reached by walking.

i am lucky i live in the city cbd.  i am close to all the exciting sites sydney has to offer.  i enjoy the walks from the domain all the way to the opera house.

my walk normally starts from my building at oxford street. i walk from oxford street towards hyde park and then turn right to college street.  i cross william street and then when i reach st mary's cathedral, i turn right and then enter the domain gate on the left side.

the domain is a wide open space garden normally used for concerts, opera at the park and playground (rugby or soccer).  from the gate,on the right side, you can have a skyline view of kings cross and potts point. there are benches to sit on and enjoy the view. there are plenty of trees as shades.

further up the path on the right, you will pass the Art Gallery of New South Wales. this is our equivalent of new yorks metropolitan museum or paris' louvre.

continuing on, the wooloomooly bay can be seen from the walk path.  one can again sit on one of the benches and just enjoy the view.

on the left is the entrance to the royal botanic garden. this can also be traversed using the other gate at the southern part of the trail.

to be continued
