Pizzeria Amalfi

Frankfurt am Main Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

Most people who come to Frankfurt only have a few hours between flights, maybe a day or two. But few have the chance to actually really see any of it, and it is maybe not the highest priority anyway. But I loved living there and this guide is for anyone who might want some ideas about what to do during the stop-over. I'll keep adding to it for a while, so check back :)
Very good Italian pizzas
The Pizzeria Amalfi is located on the Mörfelder Landstrasse, diagonally opposite the Pizzeria Roma that I've also reviewed in this blog.

There is not an awful lot of space inside and you very much get the impression that it is designed more as a place to take away rather than eat in - which is exactly what it is. But if you want to eat in there are some seats inside and a few tables outside and often you can see people having their lunch hour there.

Pizza is of course the main thing on the menu, but you have a lot of choice also with pasta and salads etc because the menu is HUGE! Prices are very reasonable and the staff are always friendly. The thing that I found most interesting about this place is that you can observe them making the pizza for you because the kitchen is basically just the other side of the counter where you order. It's always fun to observe them skilfully throwing your pizza around while you wait.
