Visiting friends in Edinburgh and taking in the sights and sounds of bonny Scotland. Or something like that

The Light

Silver Sands at Aberdour

Following the success of our trip to Gullane the previous day, another sunny morning prompted a trip to the other side of the Firth of Forth (I do like typing that) and a trip over the Forth road bridge.

Having chosen somewhere pretty much at random we arrived at another small village by the name of Aberdour. Once again this came with it’s own beach - somewhat ambitiously named the Silver Sands.

To be fair this did seem to be quite a popular place as the beach was pretty busy with people ambling along in the sunshine and families playing on the shingle. The air was fresh and clear and the whole place was pretty peaceful despite the numbers of people actually there.

A number of display boards highlighted the array of wildlife you could expect to see on, in and around the water. As there was no immediate sign of any wildlife and due to a lack of enthusiasm for waiting around for any to show up we decided we had seen all that Aberdour had to offer on this Sunday morning and set off for another destination.
