Arriving in NZ

Well arrived on the 14th here in beautiful Auckland. Good city as far as I can judge. Today (16/01/09) I went to famous Skytower and have to say: WOW! The view on a beautiful day like today is just amazing and this tower is sooo incredibly high. Didn't do the Skzjump. Thought that I will have the chance to spring from alot of other things here :-) This evening I meet up with a friend of a friend of mine. Going out eating and then watching some stand up comedy, will be great fun. Pics follow...

great place to stay after an exhausting travel
Verandahs was my first stay here in New Zealand. Read alot of this lodge before I headed to New Zealand. Heard only good things and now I can confirm this! Stayed in a single room and was happy that I did so. The room was big enough and the bed was very comfortable. The right thing after the very long and exhausting flights. There is a balcony round the house where you can go for a smoke or just for relaxing. Verandahs is located adjacent Western Park and is therefore a quiet place. The busy Ponsonby road is also not far, just a few steps away.
