One of the Tigers
This new medina is very nice. There is in the evening a lot to see. The show on the main square is very good. There are several bars and cafees. There is an italian restaurant which has really very nice meals. You can find this restaurant close to the entrance with the elephants. (Hannibal) . In the front of one cafe there is always live tunesian music this is at the other side of the medina. Very entertaining! We have been here several times so we already have met a lot of tunisian people. Therefore they invited us to meet someone (the leading lady of the performance group). So we were polite and went upstairs. We waited in front of the door and Kais knocked on the door. It took a while until the door opend. We shaked hands with the lady and she invited us in. We took two steps in the corridor and we were frozen!!!! There was a dog walking, and ......... We saw 4 big black eyes staring at us!!!! The tigers from the Park Carthage land where lying in the corridor. Mandy took off in a hurry, i was a bit more curious so i stayed for a short moment. They say they are house-trained, so they are not dangerous. I don't agree!!! These are still wild annimals. Afterwards we where a bit speachless because we did not expect this!!
