so hot and humid in athens - this is how omonia and central athens looks like.
i woke up a little bit later than usual, giorgos already left to another city called volos, where he is going to teach in the polytechnic. kyriakos was awake too and doing something in the computer for his french class, we said good morning. i had some breakfast of left over apple pies from mcdo's, a banana and tea. kyriakos said that we will go to the key duplicate after he finished doing his stuff so i can have a key to the flat and go out whenever i want.

after i finished eating, we went down and we headed straight to omonia square, oh my god! it was so hot and humid outside! i swear if i was an egg, i would be hard boiled already! lol hahahaha

we turned from omonia to dionysiou solomou (Διονυσίου Σολωμού) street and from there we went to a locksmith to duplicate the key - kyriakos said kalimera to the guy and i was so curious and i asked what kalimera was! kyriakos said that kalimera is good day and kalispera is good evening.
monastiraki.
we smoke touside while the key was being duplicated, it didnt take more than 30 minutes then its ready! that was fast !

so kyriakos gave me the key and we went back to the flat, he will be gone too the whole day because he's going to his grandmother in imithós (hymettus) mountain and he doenst knew when hes gonna be back. i told him not to worry about me, because i will be meeting also a greek friend in chat - aristotle and were gonna roam athens in the afternoon but he doenst live in athens but in korinthos (corinth) he also invited me to stay with him, but corinth is a little bit far from athens - well he understands!

as i dont know much about athens, i asked aristotle or aris as i call him, that we meet at the front of the national archaeological musem of athens. i took a shower and kyriakos already left when i came out.
greeks and touriosts mingle around the monastiraki.
i took out my bag and locked the door then went down! the museum is not far from where i stay. when i got there aristotle was already waiting for me!

we hugged and greeted each other and of course the greek word i know - kalispera! hahahahaha, so i asked aristotle whats the plan, he told me that he needed some coffee! ok ok ok! then coffee it was! but i dont know that much about athens, he said that in omonia there are lots of cafes - so from the museum we walked until omonia and we went of all places to starbucks! wahahahaha well i am kinda thirsty too and i needed a drink to cool me down - aristotle asked me what will i get and i said iced coffee, we lined in and he was the first, he ordered for the both of us and he PAID IT! oh my god! i couldnt believe this! im getting freebies in athens!!!! hahaahaha i was so embarassed but aristotle said its ok.
with the acropolis looming the background.

after our drink at starbucks - aristotle toured me around the old part of athens! we went into monastiraki (Μοναστηράκι) the old part of athens and i saw the bath house of the winds, the old agora and some side streets in athens where many vendors sell their goods! i went to one shop and bought tshirts for my friends in the philippines and germany, the prices were pretty steep! 10-20 euros and theres these tshirt i want to buy for 15 euros! i asked the man if i can have a discount! hahahaha i was smiling when i said that and aristotle was also helping me to get that discount, the man said where do i came from, and i said philippines! lol and he said: ah philippines, philippines lol so he gave me the shirts for only 25 euros all! yes! nyahahaha.
the streets around the old part of athens with lots of souvenir shops and curious thingamajigs.

after that aristotle said to me to wait for him because he wanted to bet in a lotto station wahaaha! so i waited for him and smoked outside. wehen he came back he said to me that his friend is also in this part of athens an wanted to meet! fine! so we went to the street ermou again and met his friend there. his friend is greek-turkish - a strange mix lol. so we went to a FANCY lounge bar that i forgot the words in greek but its translated as "water carrier" or "water bearer" in english! it was beautiful there! the guys ordered cocktails while i ordered strawberry milkshake! wahahahahaha

after that i went home, because im getting dizzy with the heat and i thank aristotle for his good company and for his tour around athens! he was so nice - he kept inviting me to korinthos but i said to him that i would probably in an island with giorgios! arrrghhhh torn torn torn!

we hugged each other! and i thanked him endlessly.
souvenirs all over!
we parted at ermou and i went to the subway station in syntagma - it would be my first there! lol so i remembered what giorgios punched and i paid the tickets in the machin for .70 cents then i got out at omonia, bought some mcdonalds again and went to the flat.

nobody was there and i was left alone, i went into the balkon to get some air because it was so stiffling hot. at the end of the day kriakos came and he had some food with him, he said that his grandmother made them specially FOR ME. i was sooooooooo fucking touched!!!! it was green peppers stuffed with meat. but the moment i smelled it, i really cant, i really saw dissapointment in kyriakos's face. but he understands. i was really starving and mcdo's doenst help alot, i asked kyriakos if i could eat the rest of the watermelons and he said its fine.
a street in athens.
i also asked him if he can accompany me tomorrow to the temple of poseidon, but he said he has to do something for his classes and i will have to go alone!!! uggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

so i went to the internet and searched all informations about the temple of poseidon and hot to get there blah blah blah. i couldnt believe that i was only for 3 days in greece but i felt i was like for 3 months here!
