questions posed by iris, to think about while i'm wandering around the world:

+ How much money are you leaving with?
+ Do you ever get insanely lonely, and what made you feel better?
+ Did you ever end up staying with someone crazy, or just totally obnoxious? Did that even matter?
+ How do you end up eating? How often do you end up eating because of someone's generosity?
+ How many people did you meet that you remained in touch with afterwards?
+ How many moments of total amazing nirvana like bliss did you have on the trip?
+ What are some weird customs that you discovered?
+ Did you learn anything about indigenous cultures?
+ How did you end up travelling?
+ How much money did you return with?
+ Sex, drugs, rock & roll?
+ Who are you, now that you're home?
+ What did you learn about yourself, while you were gone?
+ What did you learn about the "truth" of the world, while you were gone?

some things i hope to accomplish on this trip:
- come back more knowledgeable about the rest of the world...cultures, food, languages, politics...
- be more rugged, physically and mentally
- learn new skills*
- broaden, or gain new, perspectives
- adventure
- horse back riding
- scuba diving
- wilderness orienteering
- being able to survive on my own
- being comfortable alone
