Trondheim

Really good train journey from Ă–stersund to here. Along lakes, mountains (some had snow on) and the sea. The part of the city around the cathedral is very pretty. I enjoyed going up the 172 stairs to the top of the cathedral, to get a great view of the city.

Hotel in Trondheim was a nightmare as it had a bar underneath that did not close until 4am every morning, even on Sunday night. Do not use the Thon hotel, if you do go there and want to sleep.

I'm not sure what is about Scandinavian cities - but you can't get away from people going through bins to find the plastic bottles, that have a 1K returnable amount on them. Maybe city councils should just have another container to the side, for bottles, so that the people don't have to root through loads of other rubbish?
