i admire crystals but this is absurd
December 9, 2006
the last day in innsbruck and were leaving the next day, and we heard from someone that in the town of wattens lies the swarowski factory and museum, well the crystals itself are mined somewhere in siberia and the company only does is to beautify it.
the entrance fee to the museum is about less than 10 euros - i cant remember anymore. and inside was an exhibit from the artworks of pablo neruda and pablo picasso imbedded with crytals, also a light and laser show and after a less than an hour tour, at the end of the museum is a swarowsky shop where you can buy the items in factory price, i bought some crystals and a bracelet for my mom.
going back, we stopped last time at the europabrücke (bridge of europe) the 2nd highest in europe, it was difficult to take pics at the top, because it was so windy and a bit scary, but it has a fantastic view of the karwendel range.
