roadtripping in winter from snowless, gray & rainy düsseldorf, germany to the tirol alps in austria without winter tires - drove through dangerous mountain passes, mountain tunnels, narrow, icy, snowy & ZIGZAGGY roads. halfway we thought were not gonna make it because were slipping from the road but after some pushing & cursing we finally did it! yabadabadoo hurrah!

the beginning of the roadtrip through the austrian alps.

everything set for the roadtrip! awwww i miss that old mobile :( *sniff*
me and my friend decided to have a roadtrip from düsseldorf, germany to the austrian alps, because believe it or not, we have yet to see snow capped mountains up close and personal! hahahaha. so we planned a trip for one week, arranged a car and calculated the prices. since we are going into the most expensive season, which is december, we expect the cost to be higher. we are not using gps navigator, instead we will use a map - gps navigators takes away the adventure lol - the plan is to drive south of germany - passing the black forest in the state of baden württemberg and avoding munich - because we wanted to drive through the alps and  instead, drive through the small city of kempten in the allgäu alps in bavaria. then from kempten, through the last town in germany between the austrian border - which is füssen, then from there on, drive to small roads and mountain passes and finally to our destination and base - which is innsbruck in austria!

to be honest, it will be my frist time to be in the alps! so i do not know anything - i mean, I KNOW THE ALPS lol, but i do not know what to wear - vain hahaha, and were planning to hike a glacier, so i want to be prepared.

before the trip, i went to the bookstore and bought informations about the tirol region in austria, i want to orientate myself, i dont want to be blonde hahaha when i get there!

we also booked a hostel in innsbruck, the alpine city in which i saw beforehand, the pictures and i was going crazy about it! because the pictures are amazing and beautiful! i just cant wait!

so we set off at this date, from düsseldorf, germany at about 10 am because the hostel reception will be expecting us at 8:30 pm. it will be a long drive for my friend lol, but he wants it, so im gonna give it to him! lol hahaha.

everything was all set! car tuned, snacks, water, juice AND CIGARETTES! lol, i would die if i dont have any ciggies with me!

and off we go to the alps! hurrah!
