Tony enjoying his tomato tart in the lounge before embarking on his trip.
Well hello from Tokyo!  I arrived here on Thursday after a fun flight and a relaxing couple of hours in the Virgin clubhouse at Heathrow.  I'm not sure if many of you knew, but when I was at the Sealife Centre I bought myself a little turtle and have named him Tony, thanks to a suggestion from Georgia.  I have decided to bring Tony on holiday with me and want to get a picture of him in every location I get to.  He's currently enjoying himself with all the sushi and karaoke but I hope to have him out with me tomorrow when I go to Nikko in the north of Tokyo - if he's not too tired.

This is a very interesting city with lots and lots of people.  The Metro system is busier than the London Underground and during the rush hour they employ staff wearing litttle white gloves to push people onto the trains to make sure they can get as many on as possible!  The children here go to school from 8.30am - 4.30pm and then have cramming classes for another couple of hours.  They also go in on a Saturday morning and sometimes Sundays too!  The first two nights I had halloween parties to go to and they were a lot of fun with lots of people dressed up.  Yesterday I saw a traditional Japanese wedding which is quite unusual. I also saw lots of children dressed up in kimonos to celebrate their 753 festival.

I've posted a few pictures of the last few days so take a look if you like.

Right ho - off to play a bit of Wii Mario Kart now :-)
