1) Mt Snowdon
August 30, 2008
Mount Snowdon. It was pretty warm, but overcast at the start of the walk and it didn't get much better on the way up. This means there are no decent pictures of the top of Snowdon, which was not the best way to celebrate my tenth ascent.
They are currently building a new café on the top, and a new station for the train that comes up from Llanberis.
It took us two hours and five minutes to get to the top, via the PYG track. Still to beat my record of one hour fifty minutes. We came back down the Miners' Track. If you go up Snowdon - then I'd recommend going up the PYG track, rather than the Miners' Track - the PYG track steadily rises, whereas the Miners' is flat for ages, then you have a very steep section to get to the top.
