i woke ben at 7 am, i slapped his butt and told him to get up! hahahaha.
after the filling breakfast, it turned hotter and hotter by the day. i really couldnt stand the heat, and threw up again. my face was pale because i dont have much food in my sotmach, i am becoming anorexic in the philippines.
the plan today was to chill out, getting ben used to the culture in manila, the philippines and everything filipino culture in manila and alsto to buy tickets going to the city of baguio, located north in the cordillera mountains.
so we headed off and took the bus going to a point where all buses go in the different parts of metro manila. the bus rode all the way to the coast, as i live not far from the sea, ben was mystified of the things he saw in the philippines! and its only his second day! as we got off to the point, i told ben to hold his valuables as lots of pickpockets and thieves. we rode a non airconditioned bus, now all the buses are only fitted to small asian sizes and its hard for ben to sit in a small leg room! hahaha but he was loving every minute of it! me too! its been a long time since i rode a bus in the philippines and everytime it felt like an adventure with all the chaos and traffic jams everywhere in sight!
as we got off to our point, we headed off to victory liner bus terminal.
as we bought the tickets, it was still damn early! about 9 am! hahaha early risers we were! so i said to ben, that we go to the mall of asia, its the biggest mall in the philippines and probably the second biggest in the world after that in china, and it has a long promenade where one can see the harbor and the great volcanic mountains in the west! where we can see the pinatubo volcano that we are going to trek! ben was excited! we took a taxi going there and you wouldnt belive how many teenage boys gang up on us to let them flag a taxi for us and wanting a tip!!!! hahahahaha.
in the taxi, i was talking in english with ben, then i asked the taxi driver in tagalog, he shook his head in disbelief and said, i stuggled to speak in english but you can speak in tagalog! hahahah of course i do! hahaha.
the mall was still closed when we got there, our taxi costed only 50 pesos, not even 1 euro! so i gave the driver a tip for being honest for flagging the taxi metro! so ben and me walked towards the promenade, it was still hazy, we couldnt see the mountains in the west, but we we walked along the promenade and made fun of the little pug! hahahaha, then it got too hot and we went back to the mall and searched for a cafe, we found an open one and went inside! it was seatles best, we both had iced coffee which was so good and refreshing from the heat outside!
after our coffee episode and practically the only customers and noisy hahaha we went to grab a bite in chowking, the biggest cantonese chinese fastfood chain in the philippines, although tit was air conditioned, the unbelievable noise of the people was too much for me! my god! ive never experienced anything like this for the last 5 years! and ben told me that the people in the philippines doenst have any style they all look alike! hahaha i told him, that we are in a mass restaurant, and the philippines is such a conservative country, that having long hair, piercings etc while studying in the universities and highschool is not allowed.
after fooling around in the mall, we went to timezone! a gaming center inside the malls! i felt like being a kid again! because when i was still in highscool and cut classes, i always go to arcades and spend all my money there! hahah streetfighter before was the craze! hahaha. bend and me paid a card that can play 3 games, so we played and raced in daytona! it was little bit unfair because ben KNOWS how to drive a car while me not! haha so after the laps ended, i was 2nd! arrrghhhhh!
after fooling for some time in the mall, we decided to go back home at about 2-3 pm! we got bored around and we really really wanted to swim in the pool to escape from the stiffling and searing heat!
