Christmas morning:  the sun glinted on the ocean, the kids snuggled with us on the big bed in Ciao Baby, the clean-up from the wrapping paper didn’t take long at all, but we sure enjoyed being together!  Ned had brought stocking for us all, filled with things we needed and things we wanted:  DVD movies, pepto tablets, Christmas cards, and some funny items too.  It was definitely our least materialistic Christmas to date, but very special.

However, we did miss out on our Christmas traditions which really help us get in the holiday spirit.  We also really missed the church services too.  It’s good to remember why we do certain things and how they are significant to our lives.

We really enjoyed relaxing, lying in the hammock, getting our internet fix, buying a hammock seat from the creator of it on the beach, and taking a walk in the perfect weather along the beautiful shore.  The kids made a small beach fire in a hole with Ned’s help and roasted marshmallows.  Larry kindly delivered two delicious pizzas from Gus’ restaurant for us too!

I called Mom who hadn’t gotten any FindMeSpot messages since the 18th.  I wonder if the battery has been low because we’d been sending tracking messages every day!

It was a nice Christmas, but we’ll appreciate future ones even more on familiar territory.
