Innsbruck is an 800 year old town located in Beiren. The city is called like the river the Inn. This river was very important for the trade with Italy and Switzerland. The old town of Innsbruck has a lot of interesting middle aged houses. For example the house with the golden roof. The old centre is worth to visit. It has a very nice character real "Beierens" as if you walked right back in time where you see the carriage and the beautiful dressed woman with long dresses and wigs. Also the gentleman with high hads and in Jacqet going to the opera or Ball! I really can imagine that when i walked there.
If we did not take this road, we turned to Austria and to the Oetztahl, Langenfeld. Sometimes we stayed there for a few days.
Sometimes we took the road through the mountains to go to Italy, but you have to be quit sure what you are doing. The Timmelsjoch is high 2.500 meters and on top of the mountain you are almost in Italy. But than it beginns. Very narrow roads, steep, and an huge amount of curves. When you finally enter Meran you have had it with curves!!!! For a motorcycle rider, this is an amazing road to drive.
