Las Vegas
November 21, 2007
A knackering flight from Hawai'i to Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Los Angeles airport terminal 7 only had one x-ray machine working, at least on the United part of the terminal. A lady feinted in the queue, which led to all sorts of problems.
Las Vegas airport had its obnoxious "helper" staff. I asked this bloke where the United office was, as my bag hadn't turned up. All he said, four times, was "4". I asked him a final time and he angrily said "by the door, next to carousel four". Why the frig didn't you say that the first time, you git.
I eventually made my way to Mandalay Bay hotel.
The best part of Las Vegas was a) meeting up with a friend from where I used to work and b) watching the fountains at the Bellagio hotel. Though even this was tempered by Celine Dion singing. The song stayed in my head all night and led to a lack of sleep.
