It's Flight Time!!!

After months of planning and anticipation, it was finally time to board our flight! Not normally a big fan of red eye flights, but this is the best way to get to Belize and not lose an entire day traveling. This was my first time traveling with Silvina and after getting on our flight at Houston, I knew it was going to be a crazy trip! LOL.
As we were boarding our flight, we were discussing the number of strollers at the entrance of the plane. Silvina remarked, “Wow, wonder if there are that many kids on our flight.” I followed with there are probably more since a lot of people check them (meaning the strollers). Silvina then laughed and said, “People check their children?” HA HA. The guy in front of us didn’t quite see our humor…..sorry, it was 6am and we had been flying since 1am the night before….we were entitled to be a little silly.
We had slept the entire flight from Los Angeles to Houston and after breakfast in my usual spot in the airport, I was pretty hyped up - I had been missing Belize for the last year and was excited Silvina was along to share the fun and fall in love with Ambergris Caye like I did 4 years ago.
The flight went extra fast and we were already landing in Belize City! Sadly, it looked like the weather forecast was pretty accurate - lots of rain! Mainland Belize had been receiving record amounts of rain and much of the mainland around Belize City was flooded.
We hopped off our Continental flight on to the tarmac where we headed in to claim our luggage and go check in for our connecting puddle jumper flight. I had warned Silvina the plane to the Caye seats about 12 but it’s only a 15 minute flight so it’s tolerable. A few minutes pass and we are on our plane, headed to the Caye!! Whoo Hoo!
We managed to get a few good photos and it was already time to land.
