The long, long plane ride

I am not a fan of plane rides, but alas, the only way to get to South Korea from San Franciso in any speedy fashion is by plane. So, My daughter, son, sister, cat, and dog all got on the plane together. My sister is scared to death of planes as well. Once we had taken off, everyone's nerves were settled.

I have never flown internationally. I have never flown with 2 small children. I have never flown with pets. I did all of this in one fell swoop! I call this baptism by fire!! Amazingly, it all went well with the exception of the fact the cat's sedative wore off 2 hours before landing and she decided to tell the whole plane exactly what she thought of me and the fact she was stuck under a seat.

The man next to us was a saint. He never once complained about the crying, or the squirming, or the cat yowling. And might I add, changing a diaper at 33,000ft is not as easy as one would assume!

What matters is we are here as a family. We're going to go to Seoul soon and I can hardly wait!
