This is how the eusebiuschurch looked like before the war. A bit different. In the back left there is the Waag.

THese pictures show some more about arnhem.

At first you will see the Old Eusebius church. Before the war it looked like this. They rebuild it, but a bit different from the original one. The restauration has not been done quite well, so in the end of the eighties they renovated it again. But also this restauration was not renovated well. Statues where falling of the church, so it is dangerous for people walking by. Now it is restaurated again. But they will cover the whole church. It would not look very nice, and it is gonna take years before it is finished.

St. Petersgasthuis Is the oldest building in Arnhem. It is dated from 1354. The front was build in Gothic style. When you visit the historic cellars you will find yourself also visiting this house, because the cellar of this house is part of the connected cellars.

Rijnkade This is a very nice place in the summer, a lot of nice restaurants, bars and the view over the Rijn. Also a lot of events will take place here. Like Rio at the Rijn. And the fireworks on the queens birthday. That is such a busy day in Arnhem. Everyone seems to visit Arnhem that day and night. At the famous Korenmarkt you are not able to walk anymore, you shuffle!!! But it is really nice!

The Museum of War is located At the area Schaarsbergen, the name of the street is Kemperbergerweg. This museum is very interesting.

Gelredome is a big stadion in which Vitesse plays. But we also have big events here! The idea of this stadion is develloped by Karel Aalbers. He had an matchbox in his hand and was thinking, this could also be possible with an Stadion.

The presikhaef house.
So when there is no football match we can shift the grass outside and use the floor for other events. So the grass won't get dammaged. Eventually the towncounsil saw the benefits of such a multi useable stadion. So they said yes to this project. (there is still a fight who the lost of this too expensive stadion are going to pay). Actually it will be the citizens of Arnhem! The stadion was finished in 1998!

Arnhem is also a trolley city. That means we have special busses. They don't use Gas or petrol, instead of that they use electricity which is provided by a cable above the street. The busses are connected to the wiring with an iron stave wich provide the electro motor with energy.
