The posbank near Rheden
The posbank is develloped in the iceage. Its highest point is about 110 meters above sealeavel. There are observation posts in Herikhuizen and the Elsberg. In this area animals take care of the environment. For a natural balance we let Schotish Highlanders and Iceland horces graze. These animals take care of a varied landscape. And different species of Wood and heath land.
You can reach the visitors centre from the busstation at the zutphense straatweg (line 119, stop Strijland) and the Ns.station in Rheden. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the visitors centre.
By the way, you can have a very good and not to expensive meal in Strijland, this is officical a Pancake restaurant with a lot of choises. And of course normal food. You have to pay in this restaurant with cash money, they don't accept cards!
Do you know they have very nice biscuits in Arnhem. They were first produced in 1829! by Backery Hagdorn in Arnhem. They are called "Arnhemse meisjes" girls from arnhem. You can buy them in a tin. It is a lovely gift to take home. I do have a picture from this tin!
Two famous dutch girls are and were: Audrey hepburn, she has lived in Arnhem, and Ilse de Lange, she lives in Arnhem at the moment. (she is a singer and plays the guitar).
