We went to arnhem because the phone needed to be replaced. First mistake, it is next week so i was too early. Keiko was on msn and she said she wanted to go to arnhem so we could have a drink and she can walk through arnhem with hubby. We agreed to meet at the korenmarkt at 14.40. Second mistake, they ended up at the HEMA!! Ha ha, the coffee overthere is not so very well. Before that mandy and I bought delicious chocolate in a new Leonidas store!!!
We walked through the Bakkerstraat to go to the church. During this walk i saw my favorite shop. (mandy pointed at the shop). So i bought oil and truffel pesto, in a nice brown bag. Now of to the church, it was very crowded, because it was saturday and then there is a big market. And this time also the "Kermis" which made it extra busy.
We did not had much time left so we had to hurry to the train station Velperpoort. Keiko and Hubby followed us. We had been walking a while and i noticed that my little brown bag is still standing on the table at Dudok!!!!!! Mandy was tired so she sat down on the floor in a very busy street. Keiko and Hubby took a walk among the Lauwersgracht and i had to hurry back to Dudok!! This was a bit far!
Lucky for me, it was still there. Now had to hurry back to mandy again, she had to be home early, but because of me she was very late. And we missed our train. So really a chaotic afternoon. ANd i hope Keiko and Hubby have found their way home, and not still walking in Arnhem!!
Today 12 december 2009 there are winterweeks in Arnhem. Meaning Music, Ice Carving, artists performing all in the thoughts of Christmas and cold weather. The ice carving is nice to see, i really thought they carved it out by using one big peace, but no, the "build" it. Like copy and paste! And what i liked to see, and i was really supprised by it. They iron the ice so it will shine and than you can see through the ice. Can you imagine ironing the ice on the street?
