Good times in Boulder
September 26, 2007
I again was tagging along on my husband's business trip and I'm so glad I did. I loved Colorado! I spent so much time running the trails of the Red Rocks/Settlers Park area. And I loved going down to the main center of the city (the buses are really easy to use). There are a lot of great shops and restaurants. One of our favorite places to eat was Jax Fish House...it was awesome! For drinks the Purple Martini was pretty cool, just beware that the men's and women's rooms have this weird thing: when you're washing your hands and you look up where the mirror would normally be right in front of you, there's a huge opening into the men's room. I wasn't thrilled about being hit on in a restroom while I washed my hands! Otherwise, it had a cool vibe in the main bar area...it has an upscale feel. We found a little Karaoke place downtown where we had fun and met some cool people. I loved visiting Colorado, I just wish I had more time!

Incredible Food! Great vibe! Good Beer!
We went to Jax Fish House with a group of people on a Thursday night. There was a substantial wait since it seems like a popular place and it has a small-ish dining room. We started with a few rounds of beer...they have a nice eclectic selection on tap. The oysters were delicious and our entrees were to die for! All of the deserts were very good, but the creme brulee trio and molten chocolate cake were amazing! If you're visiting Boulder and like seafood, check out Jax!
