In the summer of 2007 I visited Darmstadt, Germany because my boyfriend of the time was in the army and stationed there. This experience opened my eyes to the beauty of the world and the wonderful culture so different from my own. The weather was great, the city was great, the people were nice and I loved it so much that now when I graduate college, I plan on going to Europe and exploring some more. When you go to Darmstadt, you have to make sure you go to the Orangerie Park...it is a beautiful place...I would go there alone and just enjoy the setting. Also make sure to check out Frankenstein castle. The view from the castle is astonishing and the castle itself is wonderful. Darstadt has a great shopping center at Ludwig Plaza. It is a safe city, I walked around by myself a lot just exploring. You will love Darmstadt, I definitely plan on visiting again sometime.
