Every year there's the Amsterdam Gay Pride. The thing that makes this one distinguished from other Gay Pride's is the canal pride. Boats wil sail through the canals in the city centre making a statement. It's like a carnaval in the canals, the boats are decorated richly and the participants are dressed exorbitantly. Every boat has it's own theme, even some ministers and government officials sail along! I love this country, everybody has the right to express themselves! :D

This year we went to the Gay Pride for the first time. It's a huge party! Loud music, everybody happy and really cool atmosphere. But because we were late, we couldn't see much of the pride, but it's okay, we had a great time with friends we met there by coincidence.. A great day, next year we'll come earlier so we'll have a spot near the water!!

There's one senator I know who's openly gay and the rest just showing their support to the minorities :D It was really fun to attend, don't know why we didn't go years ago ;D
